About Peer Review

Peer review is the cornerstone of scholarly publishing. Reviewers provide independent and objective evaluations that help editors make informed publication decisions while supporting authors in improving the quality of their research.

Reviewer Responsibilities

• Assess manuscripts for originality, methodological rigour and scholarly contribution.
• Provide constructive, evidence-based comments to authors.
• Maintain strict confidentiality under the journal's double-blind peer-review policy.
• Complete reviews within the requested review period (normally 3–4 weeks).
• Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation.
• Recommend acceptance, revision or rejection based on academic merit.

Eligibility Criteria

• Postgraduate qualification (MA, MPhil or PhD) in History, Archaeology or a related discipline.
• Active involvement in academic research or scholarly publishing.
• Subject expertise relevant to the journal's scope.
• Commitment to ethical and timely peer review.
